A Folded German Special Poster (measures 14 1/4" x 20 3/4" [36 x 53 cm]) (Learn More)

Rhein in Not - Reich in Not! (literally translates to "Rhine in Distress - Reich in Distress!"), the circa 1924 German poster protesting the Occupation of the Ruhr, which was a period of military occupation of the German Ruhr valley by France and Belgium between January of 1923 and August of 1925. The occupation was a response to the German Weimar Republic widely and regularly defaulting on World War I (WWI) reparation payments in the early 1920s. The poster mentions "Home and hearth under a foreign yoke", "Dungeon and death for loyalty to duty", "Black people keep watch on the German Rhine" and more. Note that online sources have conflicting dates for this poster, but 1923 - 1925 would seem to be the correct range based on the events that the poster is protesting.
If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube.

Condition: good to very good. The poster has some slight discoloration along the horizontal fold and some pinholes in the borders. There are a few small tears in the lower edge but, especially given its age, the historical poster is in pretty nice condition and certainly can be preserved and linenbacked.
