An Original 1978 (from the first release of this movie in Italy) Vintage Theatrical Folded Italian Locandina Movie Poster (measures 13 1/4" x 27 1/2") (Learn More) Ride in the Whirlwind, the 1965 Monte Hellman cowboy western starring Jack Nicholson, Millie Perkins, Cameron Mitchell, Rupert Crosse, and Katherine Squire. Note that this movie was made in 1965, before Jack Nicholson was a star, and was quickly forgotten. In 1971, it was given a full scale release (no doubt because of Nicholson's great success in Easy Rider, Five Easy Pieces, and Carnal Knowledge). What we don't know is what the 1965 posters look like, because we have never seen ANYTHING from that release (we contacted Monte Hellman, and he said that there WERE posters made in 1965, and that he has one or more, but he would not send us an image!)! If anyone HAS seen any item from this movie dated 1965, please e-mail us and we will post it here. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Note that it is difficult to accurately date Italian posters, and some unmarked re-release posters can be extremely difficult to distinguish from first releases, so please bear that in mind before you place a bid. We used our best information to date this poster, but we can't always guarantee that the Italian posters we sell are not from an unmarked re-release, but this will only prove to be true in a very tiny number of cases.
