An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Jumbo Lobby Card (LC; measures 14" x 17" [36 x 43 cm]) (Learn More) Clive Brook was an English actor from the 1920s to the 1960s. He was a major leading actor in the 1920s and 1930s, but he is not well remembered today, except by major film buffs. He played Sherlock Holmes in two movies in the early 1930s, long before Basil Rathbone assumed the part. Some of his other movies include: Shanghai Express, The Four Feathers, and Barbed Wire. He passed away in 1974 at the age of 87. Important Added Info: Note that this jumbo lobby card is one of a series created by Fox in the early 1930s and it measures 14" x 17" (most other studios issued these as 22x28s, but Fox and Columbia did this smaller size, perhaps to economize on printing costs). In the case of this jumbo lobby card, Fox did not put their studio logo on it, but we know that Brook was at Fox at this time, and we feel certain it is from Fox. Condition: fair.
