Joe Louis vs Arturo Godoy, the 1940 boxing sports match ("Heavyweight Fight COMPLETE"; "Round by Round"; "Fight Pictures"; "Blow by Blow"; "Late June Fight") between Joe Louis and Arturo Godoy that took place in Yankee Stadium New York City, New York on June 20, 1940. In the days before television was widely available, boxing matches were almost always filmed and then released to movie theaters, and the best matches often were extremely popular with moviegoers.
