Date Sold 11/23/2014 Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. 2 Original Vintage Theatrical 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] Movie Stills (Learn More) The Stolen Bride, the 1927 Alexander Korda silent Hungary royalty romantic love triangle melodrama (a wild story of a Hungarian peasant who goes to New York and meets a visiting Hungarian Countess, and of course, they fall in love, but she returns to Hungary, and he follows her, and after lots of complications, they end up together) starring Billie Dove, Lloyd Hughes, Armand Kaliz, Frank Beal, and Lilyan Tashman. Note that although Alexander Korda and his two brothers are best known for their great work in English cinema, many people do not realize that they were Hungarian, and that they made movies in Hungary starting in the mid 1910s. In 1925, Korda came to the U.S. and directed some movies, but his greatest fame was in England in the 1930s and 1940s. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Condition: good to very good.
