We have only previous had this one-sheet once before in all our years of auctioning! What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had tiny paper loss at the crossfolds and some tiny tears and tiny bits of paper loss on parts of the bottom two horizontal folds, and a lesser amount of wear on the other foldlines. It had some areas of paper loss around the edges, but solely in the blank borders. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was well backed, but at some point after it was backed, it was roughly handled, and there is now a 6" crease in the bottom center of the image that has caused creasing and tiny surface paper loss in that area, and a similar 6" crease in the yellow area below the bottom left of the title, and there also is another similar 1/2" crease and tiny surface paper loss in the top center of the image (in the top left of Bogart's jacket). These creases that were caused by rough handling are not very distracting, but certainly, any restorer could easily touch them up without re-backing the poster, if the new owner chose to do so.
