An Original 1953 (from the first release of this movie in Italy) Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Italian Photobusta Movie Poster (13x18 pbusta; measures 13 1/4" x 19" [34 x 48 cm]) (Learn More) Road to Bali, the 1952 Hal Walker Indonesia musical screwball adventure comedy sequel (one of the highly successful "Road to..." pictures) starring Bing Crosby, Bob Hope, Dorothy Lamour, Murvyn Vye, Peter Coe, Ralph Moody, Leon Askin, and Steve Calvert (in an uncredited role as the gorilla). Note that in 1948, Steve Calvert bought Ray 'Crash' Corrigan's gorilla costume, which Corrigan had been using in movies since at least 1932. He appeared in 12 movies between 1948 and 1958 as a gorilla wearing Corrigan's costume! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: good to very good. The poster has darkened and it has some creases, areas of paper loss and tiny tears along portions of the edges (see our image). There are two tax stamps at upper center with some red pen marks. Despite the defects the image is still in pretty nice condition but see our super-sized image to get a good sense of the condition of this rare poster prior to placing a bid.
