If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this French poster measures 22" x 31 1/2" and is linenbacked. Condition: good. This poster was linenbacked, but it was either NOT linenbacked by a very talented restorer, OR it was linenbacked many years ago, and has received rough handling over the years, OR it had fairly significant defects that were not restored at all. If it was restored, you can clearly see signs of the restoration even from a distance. This is a poster that would surely benefit from additional professional restoration. You can tell which of the above is the case for this particular poster by reading our "pre-restoration" description and also by looking at our "super-sized" image of the actual poster (we are the only major auction company we know of that gives accurate detailed pre-restoration information about linenbacked posters to our bidders, but we wish everyone did!). The poster had a horizontal and vertical fold and it also had several other slightly diagonal foldlines running through various parts of the image. There were two areas of paper loss in the left and right of the middle foldline, and paper loss in the right of the bottom border. The person who backed the poster pretty much left it as is. Backing minimized the many foldlines, but you can still see signs of the restoration and the paper loss. Please do not bid on this poster unless you can accept the above defects, or are willing to have further restoration performed on the poster! Note that the restorer who mounted the poster did not leave any excess linen around the edges of the poster. Learn More about condition grades
