Original Vintage Theatrical Title Lobby Card (Measures 11" x 14") (Learn More)

The Guv'nor (released in the U.S. as "Mister Hobo" and "Mr. Hobo"), the 1935 Milton Rosmer English rags-to-riches comedy ("Here's a new Arliss for you!"; "George Arliss as a lovable vagabond"; about a hobo who is arrested in Paris, but when the police learn his last name is Rothschild, they contact the famous family; it turns out he is no relation, but the family feels sorry for him, and give him 2,000 francs, which he takes and deposits in the bank, and the bank gives him a job, and he winds up president of the bank!) starring George Arliss (in the title role as Francois Rothschild/The Guv'nor), Gene Gerrard, Ivor Barnard, Frank Cellier, and Mary Clare

Condition: very good. 1/4" to 3/8" was trimmed from the bottom blank border only. There are smudges in the blank borders. There is a pair of staple holes in the top left corner of the image background. There is a minor scratch running vertically in Arliss' right
