An Original Vintage Calendar Page (measures 16" x 34") (Learn More) Marilyn Monroe is one of the greatest larger-than-life movie stars ever of the 1950s, and surely the greatest sex symbol of all time! She appeared in several memorable movies including: Some Like It Hot, The Prince & the Showgirl, All About Eve, The Asphalt Jungle, The Misfits, The Seven Year Itch, Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, Monkey Business, and Niagara. The last film that she worked on was Something's Got To Give in 1962. 20th Century Fox blamed Marilyn for the production being behind schedule, and fired her in June (the film was never completed). In August, she was found dead in her home from an apparent drug overdose, and her death was ruled a suicide (though there are theories that foul play was involved, and even in 2024, many people do not feel it was an "accidental" death). Artist: Tom Kelley Important Added Info: Note that there are many calendars with the both classic Marilyn Monroe Golden Dreams nude image (from Playboy) and the "A New Wrinkle" similar image (both by Tom Kelley) on them. The "A New Wrinkle" calendars came out in 1952, and the "Golden Dreams" calendars may have come out at that time, but surely many came out in 1954, after it was used as the first Playboy centerfold. But there are lots and lots of calendars, and there are suspicions that many of them were created long after 1952 or 1954, when the originals were created. We feel certain that THIS calendar is indeed an original from 1952! It is larger than many of the calendars we have seen, and it has a large blank area at the bottom where a calendar could be attached, so this is likely as salesman's sample. It has "A New Wrinkle" written under the lower left of the image, and "by Tom Kelley Studios" under the right of the picture. It also has "Litho in U.S.A. - Western Litho Co. Los Angeles, 5134" in tiny letters at bottom right. Also note that this calendar contains an unclothed woman, so we have placed a white bar over those areas, for those who are bothered by such images. Of course, the actual calendar does not have those white bars! Condition: very good. The calendar page was never folded and it has minor wear around the edges (see our image). But if you are looking at this page and you are looking at the edges, then you are not someone who should be bidding on it! Learn More about condition grades
