Date Sold 9/1/2011Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. 8 Original 1964 Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Cards (LCs; measure 11" x 14") (Learn More) La Guerre des Boutons (released in the U.S. in 1964 as "War of the Buttons"), the 1962 Yves Robert French juvenile France schoolboy war comedy ("People who laugh...won't blush!"; a parable about the meaning of war; a group of young French schoolboys try to steal each other's buttons, and they have all sorts of clever schemes, including showing up to "battle" naked, so there are no buttons to steal, and inducing one of the boys to become a traitor to "his side"; when the traitorous boy is discovered and punished, he tells his parents he was attacked by bullies, and several of the children are sent to reform school) starring Jacques Dufilho, Yvette Etievant, Michel Galabru, Michele Meritz, Jean Richard, Pierre Tchernia, and Pierre Trabaud. Note that this was re-made in 1994 with the same title! Condition: very good to fine.
