An Original Vintage Theatrical Autographed Oversized Movie Still (measures 16" x 20" [41 x 51 cm]) (Learn More) David Prowse (Dave Prowse) was an English actor from the 1960s to the 2010s. He is best remembered for playing Darth Vader in the original Star Wars trilogy (he was inside the suit, but the voice was that of James Earl Jones). Prowse's relationship with Lucasfilm and George Lucas was frayed, and in July 2010, he was banned by Lucas from attending official Star Wars fan conventions. George Lucas had reportedly given Prowse no reason, other than stating that Prowse "burnt too many bridges" between Lucasfilm and himself. Some of his other movies include: Jabberwocky, Frankenstein and the Monster from Hell (in the title role as the monster), and Callan. Prowse passed away in 2020 at the age of 85. Important Added Info: Note that this color still has been personally autographed (signed) by David Prowse! Also note that this still measures 16" x 20" [41 x 51 cm], and it is absolutely a 1983 original! Our consignor met Mr. Prowse in person at a show, and we are 100% certain this autograph is authentic.
