An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Title Lobby Card (LC TC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) Theodora Goes Wild, the 1936 Richard Boleslawski romantic comedy ("Gayest entertainment of the year!"; "Riotous romantic comedy!"; about a small town proper teacher who decides to write a romance novel, and when it becomes a best seller, she goes to New York and has many adventures) starring Irene Dunne (nominated for the Best Actress Academy Award for this film; in the title role as Theodora Lynn), Melvyn Douglas, Thomas Mitchell, Thurston Hall, Rosalind Keith, Spring Byington, and Henry Kolker NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Condition: fair to good. The card has darkened, typical of Columbia lobby cards of this period. The card had a pinhole in the center, at the edge of Dunne's mouth. The card has creases and scuffs scattered throughout. It is quite noticeable when the card is tilted to the light, but when looked at head on, there is one that is most noticeable, which is in Douglas' forehead and extending into the background above Dunne's hair. The card also has tiny paper loss in the bottom left corner and the tiniest of paper loss in the other three corners. It had a tape stain in the bottom left corner covering part of the Columbia logo, and that stain was because there was a tear in that area. Someone put a piece of tape on the back of that tear and another on the back of the top left corner, and another on the back of a small tear in the top blank border. In addition to putting the tape on the back, that person also performed some slight restoration to the front. One needs to decide if they can live with the card as is or have further restoration performed. Please consider all this before bidding on this card, and look closely at our super-sized images.
