An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures 3 1/4" x 4" [8 x 10 cm]) (Learn More) The Black Diamond Express, the 1927 Howard Bretherton silent railroad train crime romantic love triangle melodrama ("Story by Darryl Francis Zanuck"; about a rich society woman who meets a railroad engineer, and they fall in love, but their class differences break them apart, but everything works out in the end) starring Monte Blue, Edna Murphy, Myrtle Stedman, Claire McDowell, Carrol Nye, and William Demarest. Also, note that this is a "lost" film which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). We have taken a digital photo of each that shows the general condition of the overall slide and holder, and we have also made a digital scan that shows the glass image well, but does not show the holder (except as a dark outline).
