Sherman") starring Fredric March (in the title role as Mark Twain/Samuel Clemens), Alexis Smith, Donald Crisp, Alan Hale Sr., C. Aubrey Smith, John Carradine, Bill Henry, Robert Barrat, Walter Hampden, and Joyce Reynolds. Note that the name "Mark Twain" was such a selling point in 1944 that Warner Bros. made two entire sets of posters for this movie ("one pictorial and one block"), and the block posters solely had text on them with Twain's name in giant letters! Some pre-1970 half-sheet posters were folded twice horizontally at the poster exchange, while some were not. It can be difficult to find an unfolded example of many pre-1970 half-sheet posters (note that most post-1970 half-sheets were NOT folded, so they are pretty much only found unfolded, and therefore this does not apply to those half-sheets). Condition: good. The poster has creases, smudges and scuff marks scattered throughout and tack holes and tears of varying lengths around the edges (partially repaired with tape from the back at left.)
