An Original Vintage Unfolded World War I Poster (measures 8 1/4" x 42" [21 x 107 cm]) (Learn More)

Universal Membership Week, the 1918 World War I (WWI) banner poster ("Red Cross Christmas Roll Call, December 16-23") promoting charity fundraising for the Red Cross, and featuring great Harrison Fisher art of a nurse with a hand outstretched at left and a nurse cradling a wounded soldier at right. Harrison Fisher was one of the top illustrators of the 1910s to the 1920s, and he did many magazine covers, and undoubtedly, this was his contribution to the war effort (and the Red Cross). This poster is certainly an unusual size, and we don't know how it was used (perhaps it was placed above podiums where contributions were solicited).
If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.

Condition: good. There is some water staining and rippling throughout the poster. There are some 1 1/4" and smaller tears around the edges of the poster that have been repaired with tape from the back (mostly in left of the top edge and upper right edge).
