An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Half-Sheet Movie Poster (1/2sh; measures 22" x 28" [56 x 71 cm]) (Learn More)

Merton of the Movies, the 1924 James Cruze Los Angeles Hollywood California silent movie-making acting romantic comedy ("From a story by Harry Leon Wilson and the play by George S. Kaufman and Marc Connelly"; a familiar plot of a no-talent who ends up a Hollywood star by accident!) starring Glenn Hunter (in the title role as Merton Gill), Viola Dana, Charles Sellon, Sadie Gordon, and Gale Henry. Note that this is a "lost" film, which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist.

Important Added Info: Note that this poster has never been folded! Some pre-1970 half-sheet posters were folded twice horizontally at the poster exchange, while some were not. It can be difficult to find an unfolded example of many pre-1970 half-sheet posters (note that most post-1970 half-sheets were NOT folded, so they are pretty much only found unfolded, and therefore this does not apply to those half-sheets).

Condition: good to very good. The poster was never folded. It has paper loss in the left of the bottom border, slightly affecting the writing beneath the Paramount logo. It has some pinholes, stains, and darkening in the blank borders, but the image area is in pretty nice condition, especially considering its age. The poster is somewhat fragile.
