An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More)

Call Your Shots, the 1928 Stephen Roberts silent comedy short ("Mermaid Comedies") starring Al St. John, Estelle Bradley, Glen Cavender, Otto Fries, and Eva Thatcher. Note that we were unable to find anything about the plot of this comedy short. Based on the one-sheet, it looks like it might deal with alcohol and prohibition, but we really don't know. If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here.

Important Added Info: Note that first release 1928 movie paper from this movie is incredibly rare. We have never auctioned even a single poster or lobby card from this movie until we received this poster!

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster was folded in half an extra time. It had tiny paper loss at the crossfolds, and some creases and darkening on parts of some folds. It had light smudges and staining scattered throughout, but it is mostly only noticeable in the yellow background areas, and slightly in the solid dark background areas at bottom. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. The person who restored the poster did a pretty nice job, but they chose to not paint over the entire yellow background, or the bottom dark background. The defects are noticeable, but not all that distracting (see our image).
