An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card #3 (11x14; LC; measures 11" x 14") (Learn More) Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho, the classic 1960 Alfred Hitchcock (nominated for the Best Director Academy Award for this film) psychotic killer horror thriller ("The master of suspense creates a new and altogether different screen excitement!!!"; "It is required that you see Psycho from the beginning!"; "The master of suspense moves his cameras into the icy blackness of the unexplored!"; "A new - and altogether different - screen excitement!!!"; "The master suspense-showman creates something new - and altogether different - in screen excitement!!!"; "Alfred Hitchcock's new and altogether different screen excitement!"; "The screen's master of suspense moves his cameras into the icy blackness of the unexplored..."; "Screenplay by Joseph Stefano"; based on the novel by Robert Bloch; note that Tony Palladino originally created the classic Psycho title design for the book jacket, and this lettering was purchased along with the film rights, and used on movie posters) starring Anthony Perkins (as Norman Bates), Vera Miles (as Lila Crane), John Gavin (as Sam Loomis), Martin Balsam (as Detective Arbogast), John McIntire (as Sheriff Chambers), Janet Leigh (nominated for the Best Supporting Actress Academy Award for this film; "as Marion Crane"), Mort Mills (as the Highway Patrol Officer), and Patricia Hitchcock (the director's daughter, in a small role) NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Condition: good to very good. There must have been some sort of staining in the top center house area (perhaps a snipe was attached to that area, and was roughly removed, but whatever it was, it did not affect the back of the card). Some talented restorer performed touch-up to that area, and did quite a nice job of it but you can see signs of the restoration when the card is tilted to the light. There also are some very faint partial vertical creases in the left and right of the card, with a few in the bottom center (it seems like someone once started rolling the card and then changed their mind, but the partial roll caused the faint creases). There are some faint scuffs scattered in the black background area at bottom and right (typical of cards from this title). There is a tiny diagonal crease in the top left blank corner and some very faint smudges around the edges of the card. Other than the above, the card is in pretty nice condition, and will display well on the new owner's wall. But please do not on this card unless you can accept that it has had expert restoration in the house area. Learn More about condition grades
