Date Sold 10/11/2015Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures 3 1/4" x 4" [8 x 10 cm]) (Learn More) Back to the Woods, the 1918 George Irving silent mistaken identity romantic comedy (about an "Eastern" woman who travels out West in disguise to try to find a "real man", and who should she meet, but an Eastern writer who is posing as a Westerner, so he can write a novel, and after many misadventures, they find true love!) starring Mabel Normand, Herbert Rawlinson, T. Henderson Murray, Arthur Housman, and James Laffey. Note that this is a "lost" film, which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). This slide is the kind that has two panes of glass that are taped together with black tape around all four edges (front and back), typical of many older glass slides. We have provided a high quality scan of the image, but we have not taken a photo of the slide, because there would really be very little to see! Condition: very good to fine. The theater that used this slide wrote the days the movie was playing in the play dates section at the bottom of the glass. The slide is in nice condition! Learn More about condition grades
