An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (measures 11" x 14") (Learn More) True Confession, the 1937 Wesley Ruggles courtroom legal lawyer romantic screwball comedy ("The throbbing story of a wife who lied, and lied,... and lied!"; "Screen Play by Claude Binyon Based on a Play by by Louis Verneuil and Georges Berr"; about a pathological liar married to a successful lawyer who is so honest that it hurts his career; she gets accused of a murder she didn't commit, and her husband has to defend her, even though he isn't even sure she's innocent!) starring Carole Lombard, Fred MacMurray, John Barrymore, Una Merkel, Lynne Overman, Porter Hall, Edgar Kennedy, Fritz Feld, Toby Wing, and Tom Dugan (billed as "Tommy Dugan") NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Condition: good. There are water stains in the left border and two areas of paper loss in the top blank border. There is an upside-down V-shaped tear in the center of the bottom border and a few small tears in the other borders (someone put tape on the back of six border tears). There is a pinhole in the background area between the two stars, and another pinhole to the right of Lombard's hair. Clearly, this card has many significant border defects, but the image area is in pretty nice condition. Either the card could be framed as it is and most of the border defects would not show, or any talented restorer could paperback the card, and after proper restoration, the card will look great, and there will be very little paint restoration within the image!
