eMoviePoster.comAuction History Result DAME CHANCE 1sh Appears in Hershenson Pressbook CollectionThe image at right is provided for reference purposes and we do not we have it available for purchase, nor do we know of anyone who does! Dame Chance, the 1926 Bertram Bracken silent romantic love triangle melodrama ("From the novel by Frances Nordstrom"; about a rich man who offers a young woman the chance to be his mistress, but she turns him down until her mother needs an operation, and then she agrees; later, she meets a more suitable young man, and her lover gallantly steps aside) starring Robert Fraser, Gertrude Astor, Julanne Johnston, Mary Carr, and David Hartford. Note that the advertising for this movie has a cool gambling motif, with a roulette wheel, but that is metaphorical, referring to the gambling the leading lady does when she takes a lover for financial reasons. The lobby cards have a witch silhouette on them as well, and we don't know why that is! If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here.
