Sunrise: A Song of Two Humans, the classic 1927 F.W. Murnau silent romantic love triangle crime melodrama ("The outstanding achievement of the motion picture art"; "Scenario by Carl Mayer"; winner of the Best Picture Academy Award) starring George O'Brien (as "The Man"), Janet Gaynor (winner of the Best Actress Academy Award for this film; as "The Wife"), Margaret Livingston (as "The Woman From The City"), Bodil Rosing, and J. Farrell MacDonald. Note that at the very first Oscar ceremony, this movie was awarded the Oscar for "Best Picture, Unique and Artistic Production". Also, Janet Gaynor won that first Best Actress Academy Award (it was for this movie and two others she made that year).

Artist: Jochimsen
Important Added Info: Note that ANY movie paper items from this movie are incredibly rare. We have only previously auctioned a title card (27 years ago for $2,530!), a jumbo lobby card (24 years ago for $495), and some stills from this movie (and NO other movie paper) until we received this scene card! Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has.

Condition: good to very good. The card was attached to some kind of light brown paper backing, likely many years ago, and surely it was done before the card was folded down the center (which was likely done to use the card as a sheet music holder, something common in the silent days). There are tiny creases and scuffs along that fold. There was separation at the bottom 1/4" of the fold, and someone put clear tape over the front and back of that area. There is a faint 1" crease in the man's shoulder at middle left and a few faint smudges in the blank borders. The card can certainly be displayed and enjoyed as it is, or one could choose to perform restoration.
