An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Pressbook (pb; measures 11" x 17" [28 x 43 cm]; 4 pages) (Learn More) Please Don't Eat My Mother (re-released as "Hungry Pets" and "Sex Pot Swingers"), the 1972 Carl Monson horror comedy sexploitation movie ("The hilarious tale of a strange houseplant whose appetite grew from the neighborhood pets to more succulent dishes -and loved every piece!"; "A laugh with every burp!"; "A Harry Novak Presentation") starring Rene Bond, Buck Kartalian, Flora Weisel , Alice Friedland (billed as "Alicia Friedland"), Lyn Lundgren, Art Hedberg, and Ric Lutze. Note that this was a sexploitation rip-off of "The Little Shop of Horrors", but with lots of sex added, and with all wit and cleverness taken out. The film was re-released in 1974 under the title "The Hungry Pets", and it had a new advertising campaign that played down the horror connection, and sold the movie as a standard sex movie. It was re-released again in 1979 as "Sex Pot Swingers" and that release used the same advertising campaign as the original title! Artist: C. Because of this, this pressbook can be sent in one of our standard size packages (if it is purchased together with pressbooks that can NOT be folded, then it will of course have to be sent in one of our oversized packages). But if this pressbook is purchased by itself (or solely with other pressbooks that can be folded), then the shipping will be much lower, because it fits in a standard package. Also note that this poster contains partially unclothed women, so we have placed a white bar over those areas, for those who are bothered by such images. Of course, the actual poster does not have those white bars! Also note that we have provided an image of the front and back covers of the pressbook, plus an image of a two-page spread from inside of the pressbook (we do NOT picture any supplements or heralds, if there are any included with this pressbook), and of course, the winner of this auction will receive the entire single pressbook we are auctioning (plus any supplements or heralds described above)! Also note that this pressbook is complete and uncut! Given that theater owners purchased pressbooks partly in order to create their newspaper advertising, and quite frequently cut them up for that purpose, it is rare to find a pressbook that IS complete and uncut!
