Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Australian Daybill Movie Poster (measures approximately 15" x 40") (Learn More) Vanity Fair (of Today), the 1932 Chester M. Franklin romantic woman-climbs-ladder-of-success-using-men melodrama ("The modern version of Thackeray's Famous Classic!"; about a woman desperate to achieve success, even though it means romancing and using many men she does not care about) starring Myrna Loy (as Becky Sharp), Conway Tearle, Barbara Kent, Walter Byron, and Anthony Bushell. Note that this was one of many movie adaptations of William Makepeace Thackeray's classic novel, "Vanity Fair", but this was the only one that "modernized" it and brought it into the present day. It is virtually completely forgotten, and there was a 1935 version starring Miriam Hopkins, called "Becky Sharp", which was the first Technicolor feature. "Children Not Admitted" snipe across the top blank border slightly extending into the image background; areas of paper loss around the edges as well as a 2 1/2" tear in the lower right edge of the poster (see the image below); top 2" folded back at one time; minor creases and smudges throughout the poster; tape stains and surface paper loss along the top edge of the poster as well as some staining along the bottom 1 1/2" of the poster from a tape stain on the back of the poster; approximately 1/8" hole in the "W" in "With" in the title area Learn More about condition grades
