Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had paper loss in the top corners (in the blank border), and paper loss in the center of the top of the poster, extending down into the green background. It had two pieces of tape to the left and right of that paper loss. It had pinholes around the edges and many brown dot stains scattered in the bottom 6" of the poster. It also had small paper loss at some crossfolds and some creases, tears, and tiny paper loss on many parts of some foldlines. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer backed the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did not do restoration to the defects described above. Learn More about condition grades
