Date Sold 3/2/2014 Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. a lot of 168 German cigarette cards contained in an album from 1937. The album contains many pages designed to have the cigarette cards glued onto the empty spots (the number of cards per page varies from seven to ten) and the album is entirely filled. These cards are among the nicest such cards we have seen. All of them are color and they all have cool deco-like frames around the images of the stars! The person who owned this album likely purchased it empty and then added the cigarette cards, or it is possible that it was sold with the cards in it. All of the cards are glued in firmly, but certainly could be removed by a talented amateur or a professional, or of course, they could be left exactly as they are. Condition: good to very good. There is a black stain in the center of the back cover and it bled through to the last interior page, and it stained one of the cards on that page. There are some other pages with some staining around the cards, likely caused by the glue that was used to attach the cards, but in most cases, the stains do not affect the cards themselves (see our images). The album is in its original cardboard box, which does not have printing on it (there is a circular burn hole in the middle of the box, which corresponds to the black stain on the back cover of the album described above).
