MGM: When the Lion Roars, the 1991 book by Peter Hay featuring over 700 full-color and black & white illustrations (including full-color images of some classic Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer movie posters) with an inside look at the people who ran the studio and the 25,000 people who worked for MGM.

Important Added Info: Note that we have only previously auctioned three examples of this special hardcover limited edition version of this book, and one of those examples has now been reconsigned to us, so this is still only one of three examples we have ever auctioned! It comes in a slipcase and has a deluxe red cloth binding, with the MGM logo on the cover. On the first interior page is glued a certificate that is signed by Ted Turner, and attached to the first page next to the certificate is "an authentic strip of film taken from one of the studio's two greatest movies - Gone With the Wind or The Wizard of Oz! The book is not numbered, but we can't imagine they made many of them. Also note that we have pictured the front cover, the title page, and the interior page that shows the publishing information, and one or more interior 2-page spreads.
