An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) Red Dust, the classic 1932 Victor Fleming pre-Code romantic love triangle melodrama (set on a rubber plantation in Indochina, with Gable forced to choose between "good" Mary Astor, and "bad" Jean Harlow, who was basically a prostitute) starring Clark Gable, Jean Harlow, Gene Raymond, Mary Astor, Donald Crisp, and Tully Marshall. This was a pre-Code movie, and the steamy scenes between the stars helped bring about the Code (and the censorship it brought). NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that we have previously auctioned a dozen first release lobby cards from this movie, but we have NEVER before auctioned THIS scene card! Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Condition: good to very good. The card had some faint smudges, stains, creases, and scuffs around the edges, with a few scattered in the image. Someone performed slight restoration to the above without backing the card.
