1a109 AL D'AMATO signed letter '95 from the United States Senator to the American Embassy in Congo!

An Autographed Letter (measures 8 1/2" x 11"; 3 pages) (Learn More)

Al D'Amato (Alfonse Marcello D'Amato) is a New York politician from the 1970s to the present. He was a United States Senator for New York from 1981 to 1999. He holds records for extremely long filibusters and is remembered for reading the District of Columbia phone book and singing "South of the Border" during separate filibusters.
Important Added Info: Note that this item has been personally autographed (signed) by Al D'Amato!

Our consignor (who was a diplomat for the U.S. in exotic locations) obtained this autograph either through personal correspondence or from one of the other diplomats she worked with. We are 100% certain that this item came from the person listed, but we can't be 100% certain that they signed it themselves, because possibly a secretary signed it. However, given that they were writing to a diplomat rather than a fan, we think it is far more likely that they would have signed it themselves rather than have a secretary sign it. We suggest bidders compare the signature here to other signatures online of this person.

Condition: very good to fine.
