An Original Vintage Autographed Letter (measures 7 1/4" x 10 1/2") (Learn More) Charlton Heston (born John Charles Carter) was a major leading actor from the 1950s to the 2000s. He is best remembered for his starring roles in the two great 1950 religious epics Ben-Hur (winner of the Best Actor Academy Award for this film) and The Ten Commandments, as well as scores of other movies including: Touch of Evil, Planet of the Apes, Hamlet, The Big Country, Tombstone, Three Musketeers, Soylent Green, Julius Caesar, and El Cid. Late in his life, he became head of the NRA, promoting gun rights. He passed away in 2008 at the age of 84. He had been diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease, and died from pneumonia. Important Added Info: Note that this item has been personally autographed (signed) by Charlton Heston! Note that the letter seems extremely compassionate, and it does not appear that Mr. Heston knew the author. I wonder if this was a "stock" letter he sent to people seeking career advice, or if he simply found the time to help up-and-coming actors (if he did, then he was a really great guy!). Our consignor is a major collector of horror/sci-fi movie memorabilia, and he believes it to surely be authentic. Condition: very good to fine. Learn More about condition grades
