She was one of the "Kettle children" in several of the Ma and Pa Kettle movies, and she was John Wayne's daughter in "Trouble Along the Way" and had a notable role as the girl who sees the vision in "The Miracle of Our Lady of Fatima". In 1953, she was cast as the daughter in Danny Thomas' TV show, "Make Room for Daddy" (ironically, she happened to be born the same date as her TV brother, Rusty Hamer). By the time the show went off the air in 1961, Sherry had matured into a real beauty, and she started making appearances on most of the then-current TV shows. She was on two episodes of "Batman" and one of "Lost In Space", but her best remembered TV appearance was in the 1966 episode of "Star Trek" called "What Are Little Girls Made Of?", where Kirk and Nurse Chapel visit a planet where her former fiancee (a mad scientist) and two androids dwell. One android is played by Ted Cassidy (Lurch from The Addams Family) and the other is a perfect female (Andrea) played by Sherry Jackson. Jackson wore the most incredible costume that was literally glued onto her, and millions of teenage boys fell in love with her! Jackson resumed making movies, but they naturally only wanted her in sexy roles. She was in Gunn, and for the international version of the movie she appeared nude. Some pictures of her nude were in the August 1967 issue of Playboy magazine, naturally under the title of "Make Room For Sherry". In the 1970s, Jackson appeared in lower and lower budget exploitation movies, and her guest appearances on TV diminished until she completely stopped appearing in anything in 1980. In 1998 she gave an interview on "Star Trek Insights" on The science fiction (sci-fi) Channel, but other than that she maintained the lowest of profiles. As of 2021, Sherry is still alive at the age of 79! If anyone has any information on what she has been doing the past 30 years, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Condition: very good.
