An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (11x14; LC; measures 11" x 14") (Learn More)

The Lash, the 1930 Frank Lloyd south-of-the-border romantic historical love triangle cowboy western (based on the story' Adios' by Lanier Bartlett & Virginia Stivers Bartlett; obviously massively borrowing from "Zorro", Barthelmess is a Spanish nobleman who by night is a masked avenger called "The Lash"!) starring Richard Barthelmess, Mary Astor, Marian Nixon, Fred Kohler, and James Rennie
NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography.

Condition: good to very good. There is a water stain in the middle of the left border, but fortunately it is mostly in the blank white background area. There are creases and smudges around the edges of the card and pinholes in the corners. Someone used the back of the card to keep the box score of the fifth game of the World Series in 1946 (between St. Louis and Boston). Apparently, 16 years after the movie was released, someone considered this lobby card "scrap paper", and used it in this fashion! The back of the card is covered with pencil writing and a grid of pencil lines, but the card is on thick paper stock, and the pencil writing on the back does not affect the front (and it seems like a kind of cool addition to the card, since Boston that year had Dom DiMaggio, Ted Williams, and other all-stars, and St. Louis had Stan "The Man" Musial, Red Schondiest, and others!). Note that this lobby card is completely unrestored and there is not a single piece of tape on either the front or back of the card!
