It is situated on a hill in the Givat Ram neighborhood of Jerusalem, and houses works dating from prehistory to the present day. Among the unique objects on display are the Venus of Berekhat Ram, necklaces worn by Jewish brides in Yemen, a mosaic Islamic prayer niche from 17th-century Persia, and a nail attesting to the practice of crucifixion in Jesus' time. Some of the wings of the museum include: the Shrine of the Book (it houses the Dead Sea Scrolls), the Samuel and Saidye Bronfman Archaeology Wing, the Second Temple model, the Fine Arts Wing, the Youth Wing and more.
