An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More)

The Lady in Ermine, the 1927 James Flood silent Austria Italy historical infidelity romantic melodrama ("From the famous operetta by Rudolph Schanzer & Ernest Welisch"; a very clever story of an Italian Count and his wife living in a castle, where her grandmother once slept with a leader of the enemy so that her husband would not be executed, but when the husband found out, he killed her!; back in the present day, which was 1810, the Count goes off to war and the Austrian enemy occupies his home, and when the Count returns, he is arrested and ordered to be executed, and his wife tells the enemy leader about her grandmother and offers to make the same deal with him, and the movie ends with her going to him clad only in ermine!) starring Corinne Griffith, Einar Hanson, Ward Crane, Francis X. Bushman, and Jane Keckley. Note that the movie was remade in 1948 by Ernst Lubitsch with Betty Grable. Also, note that this is a "lost" film which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist.
NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography.
Important Added Info: Note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has.

Condition: good. The entire card has darkened somewhat. It has tack holes, smudges, and small stains around the edges. There are a few tiny stains scattered in the image. This is the sort of card that responds really well to professional restoration. It is likely that much or all of the smudges and stains can be removed through chemical means, and of course, most of the pinholes are in the blank borders, and after proper restoration, the card will display well. Please look closely at our images of the front and back of this card before bidding. Note that this card is completely unrestored and there is not a single piece of tape on either the front or back!
