eMoviePoster.comAuction History Result 6s438 GORDON OF GHOST CITY chapter 7 LC '33 Buck Jones on horseback, Entombed in the Tunnel! Date Sold 2/7/2013Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Original Vintage Theatrical Chapter #7 (Entombed in the Tunnel) Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) Gordon of Ghost City, the 1933 Ray Taylor cowboy western serial ("12 Super Chapters packed with Wild Thrills!"; "The Year's greatest serial!"; "Suggested by a story by Peter B. Kyne") starring Buck Jones (in the title role as Buck Gordon), Madge Bellamy, Walter Miller, Tom Ricketts, William Desmond, Craig Reynolds, and Francis Ford. Note that Buck Jones' white horse was named Silver (just like The Lone Ranger's later on!), and Silver made 73 movies with Buck Jones from 1922 until Jones' death in 1942 in the tragic Cocoanut Grove fire. But oddly, Silver was almost never billed on the posters for Buck Jones' movies as so many other famous horses (most especially Tom Mix's Tony) were! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Condition: fair. The card has darkened unevenly and there are creases and paper loss in the borders. There are some dot stains scattered throughout. Note that this lobby card is completely unrestored and there is not a single piece of tape on either the front or back! Learn More about condition grades
