An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More)

Warming Up, the 1928 Fred C. Newmeyer New York City baseball sports romantic love triangle comedy starring Richard Dix, Jean Arthur, Claude King, Philo McCullough, and Billy Kent Schaefer. Note that this movie featured Pittsburgh Pirates and Chicago Cubs baseball players, and that it was advertised as "Paramount's first sound movie". Note that TCM's synopsis of this movie says that Richard Dix's character pitches for the "Green Sox", but it sure looks like a New York Yankees cap that he is wearing on a lobby card we have seen, and he seems to be wearing a pinstripe uniform! Maybe they borrowed Yankee uniforms for filming, or maybe TCM is just wrong. If anyone knows more about this movie, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Note that this is a "lost" film, which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist.

Important Added Info: Note that ANY movie paper items from this movie are incredibly rare. We have only previously auctioned a half-sheet, a lobby card, and five stills from this movie (and NO other movie paper)! That lobby card has now been reconsigned to us, so it is still the only lobby card from this movie we have ever auctioned! Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has.

Condition: very good to fine. Note that this lobby card is in excellent condition and is completely unrestored and there is not a single piece of tape on either the front or back!
