An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Bobbed Hair, the 1922 Thomas N. Heffron silent romantic love triangle comedy ("Cutting loose from convention"; about a woman torn between a "respectable businessman" and a "futuristic poet" who lives in an art colony, but not surprisingly for the time, it turns out the poet is a creep who is married with children, and his wife catches him seducing the girl, who runs back to her respectable businessman) starring Wanda Hawley, William Boyd, Adele Farrington, Leigh Wyant, and Jane Starr. Note that this movie dealt with the then current craze of women wearing short hair, something that had not happened for an incredibly long time, if at all (of course, by the late 1920s, a high percentage of women had their hair short!). Note that this is a "lost" film, which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that we have only previously auctioned one example of this poster, and that was 25 years ago. That example has now been reconsigned to us after all these years (and it is now linenbacked), so it is still the only example of this poster we have ever auctioned! What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster had some tiny bits of surface paper loss on parts of the folds and a few pinholes around the edges. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed, and displays well! Note that either the restorer who mounted the poster did not leave any excess linen around the edges of the poster, or possibly the owner of the poster chose to carefully trim off the excess, so that the poster would fit in a frame.
