An Original Vintage Tri-Folded Billboard Advertising Poster (measures approximately 9' x 20') (Learn More) Permalube Motor Oil, the circa 1950s advertising poster created by Amoco to advertise its Permalube motor oil ("Cleans as it lubricates"; "An American Oil Company Product"; "There's protection for you!"). Note that Amoco (originally part of Standard Oil, which later absorbed the American Oil Company) participated strongly in the war effort during World War II, producing better airplane fuel, and even producing TNT for the government! After World War II, they returned to producing gasoline for cars. If anyone knows more about this poster, please e-mail us and we will post it here. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this billboard poster was printed in 15 sections designed to overlap. Also note this poster was folded in a way that makes it resemble a tri-folded six-sheet (only much larger, of course, as there are more sections). But the length and width of the folded poster is just about the same as that of a folded six-sheet or three-sheet. This means that this poster needs to be sent in an oversized flat package, which will measure roughly 16" x 38", and approximately 2" high, and it will cost more to send than a regular sized package. Condition: good to very good. There are some small stains scattered throughout the poster and there is some tattering along the foldlines and around the edges of the sections of the poster.
