An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) W. Somerset Maugham's Of Human Bondage, the 1946 Edmund Goulding tortured-romantic melodrama (based on the novel by W. Somerset Maugham; about a medical student who falls madly in love with a trashy woman who torments him and mostly ruins his life) starring Paul Henreid (as Philip Carey), Eleanor Parker (as Mildred Rogers), Alexis Smith, Edmund Gwenn, and Janis Paige. Note that the first move based on this novel was filmed in 1934 with Bette Davis and Leslie Howard in the lead roles, and that there was a 1964 version with Kim Novak and Laurence Harvey. The poster had tiny paper loss at the crossfolds and creases, smudges, and tiny horizontal tears down parts of the vertical foldline with a lesser amount of wear on the horizontal folds. There were some pinholes, creases, smudges, and tears around the edges of the poster. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects. Learn More about condition grades
