Taut! Terrific!"; the screenwriter, Anthony Veiller, came up with a "prequel" to the classic short story, and he devised a very interesting and very believable back-story that would explain the actions of the characters in Hemingway's story) starring Burt Lancaster (in his first screen role; billed as "introducing Burt Lancaster"), Ava Gardner, Edmond O'Brien, Albert Dekker, Sam Levene, Charles D. The poster had paper loss in Lancaster's fingers and many smudges and scuffs throughout the image, with some paper loss scattered down the left edge. Overall, the poster was in poor to fair condition prior to linenbacking.
