An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) Abbott and Costello Go To Mars, the 1953 Charles Lamont New Orleans Louisiana Mardi Gras science fiction (sci-fi) fantasy astronaut outer space comedy ("They're Out of this World on a Misguided Missile!"; "They're too wild for one world!"; "It's All New!"; "It's too wild for one world!"; "All new! and so hilarious... it could only happen to Bud and Lou!"; "All new! ...and too wild for one world!") starring Bud Abbott, Lou Costello (Abbott and Costello), Mari Blanchard, Robert Paige, Horace McMahon, and "The Miss Universe Contest Beauties" (including Anita Ekberg in her 2nd movie role!) NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: very good. This poster was linenbacked, and the restorer did a good job, but you can see signs of the restoration from inches away (since most people look at posters framed on a wall from at least a few feet away, we don't feel this is a defect, but we feel it should be noted). See below for this poster's pre-restoration condition (we are the only major auction company we know of that shares this information with our bidders, but we wish everyone did!). good to very good. The borders of the poster were somewhat tattered and new paper has been carefully placed over much of the original borders (but not the area with the writing at bottom). There were small holes at the crossfolds and some tears, creases, and tiny areas of paper loss along the foldlines. The poster was well restored and from any distance away it looks quite nice!
