Orfeu Negro (released in the U.S. as "Black Orpheus"), the classic 1959 Marcel Camus Brazilian/French/Italian doomed romance fantasy melodrama ("Amid the splendor of Carnival in Rio... A modern retelling of the ancient legend of love and passion and violence!"; "Passionate! Volatile! Haunting!"; winner of the Best Foreign Language Academy Award; a re-telling of the Greek myth, updated to the present day and set at the Brazilian Carnival, and featuring black actors in the lead roles) starring Breno Mello (in the title role as Orfeu), Marpessa Dawn (as Eurydice), Marcel Camus, Fausto Guerzoni, Lourdes de Oliveira, and Adhemar Ferreira da Silva (as Death)

Condition: good. There is a 2" jagged tear in the man's hair left of center and there is a 4" tear in the right of the bottom edge of the poster. There are many pairs of staple holes around the edges of the poster. There is a label on the back of the poster at lower right, but it does not appear to have any effect on the front.
