Date Sold 1/31/2017Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Three-Sheet Movie Poster (3sh; measures 41" x 81" [104 x 206 cm]) (Learn More) Harlow, the 1965 Gordon Douglas Hollywood California sex symbol biography melodrama ("What was Harlow really like?; She was the glittering, glamorous movie queen who put Hollywood on the map!"; "She was the Platinum Blonde who became the most desired woman in the world!"; "She was the darling of first-night parties and third rate hotels!"; "She was famous for tight dresses, loose living, and quick trips to the bottom between pictures!"; "She couldn't taste life - she had to devour it!"; "She was the star who didn't know when to stop!"; "Harlow stood for only one thing - as no woman ever has - before or since!"; about Jean Harlow, the famous Hollywood movie star and sex symbol of the 1930s who died at the peak of her career in 1937) starring Carroll Baker (in the title role as Harlow), Martin Balsam ("as Harlow's Producer. He decides what pictures and what stars are going to be made - and who's making them!"), Red Buttons ("as Harlow's Agent. What did Harlow tell him that no person should ever hear?"), Michael Connors ("as Harlow's Co-star. He's made love to as many women off screen as on - and he's never given a bad performance"), Angela Lansbury ("as Harlow's Mother. She smothered Harlow with mother's love, a woman's jealousy - and a rival's hate!"), Peter Lawford ("as Harlow's Husband. What really happened on history's most notorious wedding night?"), Raf Vallone ("as Harlow's Stepfather. When he married Mama Jean, was it for herself - or for her daughter?"), and Leslie Nielsen. Bizarrely, this was one of two movies entitled Harlow released in 1965, both biographies of Jean Harlow. The other version starred Carol Lynley in the lead role. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this poster has a photographic image of Carroll Baker. There had been an earlier artwork style poster of Ms. Baker dressed as Harlow, and it looks like Harlow did, but it does not really look like Carroll Baker. Perhaps Ms. Baker complained, because entirely different one-sheets were prepared with this photographic image of Ms. Baker, and these were stamped "NEW CAMPAIGN" on the back (and they also made window cards with that same new image). Note that this three-sheet was printed in 2 sections designed to overlap. Condition: very good. There are some creases and several tears along the foldlines that were on the outside when the poster was fully folded. There are some creases, smudges, and tiny tears on the other foldlines, and some tiny paper loss at some crossfolds. Learn More about condition grades
