Wake Island, the 1942 John Farrow (nominated for the Best Director Academy Award for this film) World War II (WWII) military propaganda action thriller ("America will never forget"; "The dramatic re-enactment of the 14 days that will live forever!"; nominated for the Best Picture Academy Award) starring Brian Donlevy, Macdonald Carey, Robert Preston, Albert Dekker, William Bendix (nominated for the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for this film), Walter Abel, Rod Cameron, and Barbara Britton

Important Added Info: Note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube.

Condition: fair. water stains and rippling throughout the poster; 18" jagged tear running along the lower left edge of the image area extending into the top of the "KE" in "WAKE" in the title into the men's images at center (repaired with tape from the front and back) as well as some 3" and smaller tears and some areas of paper loss around the edges of the poster (see the image at right); creases, smudges, and scuffs throughout the poster; Please do not bid on this poster unless you are willing to accept its defects or are willing to have it restored!
