Note that this is one of 188 folded one-sheets in this Part IV of eMoviePoster.com's December Major Auction that were consigned to us by legendary French dealer/collector Dominique Besson (we auctioned 993 of his folded one-sheets in Part I of this auction, and we auctioned his 113 unfolded one-sheets in Part III, and now we are auctioning his final 188 folded one-sheets in this Part IV). Dominique Besson started collecting movie posters in 1981, and became a dealer in French and European posters in 1994, and has remained as a top dealer ever since! But in addition, 30 years ago, Dominique began collecting U.S. one-sheets, first those with Saul Bass art, and then adding Alfred Hitchcock posters, then Humphrey Bogart, and he finally ended up collecting in an amazing total of 47 different categories, purchasing the posters from all over the world! Now the time has come to sell this wonderful collection, and Dominique has chosen eMoviePoster.com to do so, through our auctions! After Part IV closes, we will have auctioned all of this collection. Condition: fair to good. The poster is in lesser condition. The right and left blank borders were folded back at one time as well as several inches above and below the upper and lower edges (both were folded back a few different times in various places, with the largest horizontal fold approximately 6" above the lower edge.) There is heavy fold and border wear and there is paper loss in the center crossfold. There are several pinholes around the edges as well as a few pieces of tape. There is a 3" tear at upper left (repaired with tape from the back) and there is a deep scratch at right that runs vertically through the art of the eye. Please see our super-sized image to get a good sense of the condition of this item prior to placing a bid and please do not bid unless you can accept the defects described above, or you are willing to pay to have them properly restored.
