An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Six-Sheet Movie Poster (6sh; measures 81" x 81" [206 x 206 cm]) (Learn More) Road to Bali, the 1952 Hal Walker Indonesia musical screwball adventure comedy sequel (one of the highly successful "Road to..." pictures) starring Bing Crosby, Bob Hope, Dorothy Lamour, Murvyn Vye, Peter Coe, Ralph Moody, Leon Askin, and Steve Calvert (in an uncredited role as the gorilla). Note that in 1948, Steve Calvert bought Ray 'Crash' Corrigan's gorilla costume, which Corrigan had been using in movies since at least 1932. He appeared in 12 movies between 1948 and 1958 as a gorilla wearing Corrigan's costume! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that first release large posters from this movie are extremely rare. We have never before auctioned a six-sheet from this movie before we were consigned this poster, and we have also never auctioned a three-sheet! Also note that this six-sheet was printed in 4 sections designed to overlap. Condition: good to very good. There is some darkening on the back of the part of the poster that was on the outside when it was fully folded. There are some creases and several tears along the folds that were on the outside when the poster was fully folded.
