An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded International Double-Sided Style B One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Titanic, the 1997 James Cameron (winner of the Best Director Academy Award for this film) historical romantic ocean liner sinking-ship disaster action tragedy melodrama ("Nothing on Earth could come between them."; "A James Cameron Film"; "From the Director of 'Aliens,' 'T2' and 'True Lies'"; "Winner 11 Academy Awards including Best Picture"; "Collide with destiny"; based on the true event; winner of the Best Picture Academy Award) starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Kate Winslet (nominated for the Best Actress Academy Award for this film), Billy Zane, Kathy Bates, Frances Fisher, Bernard Hill, Jonathan Hyde, Danny Nucci, David Warner, Bill Paxton, Gloria Stuart (nominated for the Best Supporting Actress Academy Award for this film), and Eric Braeden. Note that the recent discovery that the Titanic broke into three pieces and not two casts severe doubt on the sequence of events of the sinking as portrayed in this movie and several others. It now seems far more likely that the ship sank in a very short period of time, and that the passengers had little chance to perform any of the things they are shown doing in the various movie adaptations of this tragic event! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that when this movie was first released, 1930s star Gloria Stuart had a cameo role. After the movie opened, reviewers and moviegoers raved over Ms. Stuart returning to the screen after so many years, and new one-sheets were printed with her name added to the credits. The poster offered here is an international style with Ms. Stuart's credit, so it is not from the very first printing of this poster, so bear that in mind before placing a bid on this poster. Note that the poster is marked "International" on the bottom, indicating it was printed in the U.S. for use in non-U.S. countries. Also note that this is a double-sided poster. From the 1990s on, movie posters were often made in double-sided versions (for use in light boxes). If we do not note that a poster is double-sided (as this is), then it is single-sided. Note that the image on the reverse is a mirror image of the image on the front! Condition: very good. The poster has a few light or tiny, visible creases mostly around the edges, but overall it is in pretty nice condition and it will display well. Learn More about condition grades
