Drums of Fu Manchu, the 1940 John English & William Witney Asian villain crime adventure serial ("A Republic Serial in 15 Thrilling Chapters"; "Suggested by stories by Sax Rohmer"; "Based on a novel by Sax Rohmer") starring Henry Brandon (in the title role as Dr. Fu Manchu), William Royle, Robert Kellard, Gloria Franklin, and Olaf Hytten. Note that a condensed feature version of this serial was released as a feature in 1943. Because there was a three year lapse between this serial version and the feature version, we list them as two separate movies.

Important Added Info: Note that this serial was split into three different parts when it played in Spain (likely each contained five of the fifteen chapters, and perhaps they showed them at Saturday matinees there), because this herald says "EN 3 JORNADAS", meaning it is for the entire serial, and we know that they also made heralds for each of the three parts, because we have seen a herald for part 3 alone. If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Note that we don't know when this movie was first released in Spain, but it was released in Portugal in 1942 and in Germany in 1952, and it surely dates from that time period.
