The Mad Doctor (released in other English-speaking countries as "A Date with Destiny"), the 1940 Tim Whelan serial killer romantic crime murder thriller (written by Howard J. Green; also written by Ben Hecht and Charles MacArthur, who were not credited on the posters; about a seemingly normal doctor who marries women and then kills them, but because he is a doctor, he is able to say that they died of natural causes, because he does the autopsies!) starring Basil Rathbone (in the title role as the Mad Doctor), Ellen Drew, John Howard, Barbara Jo Allen (billed as "Barbara Allen [Vera Vague]"), Ralph Morgan, Martin Kosleck, and Sheila Ryan (billed as "Betty McLaughlin")

If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that we have never before auctioned an example of this poster! Also note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube.

Condition: fair to good. The poster has complete separation in the upper horizontal fold, almost full separation in the lower horizontal fold, and much separation in the center horizontal fold. The top and bottom folds are repaired with tape from the back. There is small paper loss at upper right. Fortunately the separation it mostly relatively clean, and after proper restoration the ultra rare poster will display well, but bear in mind the poster's condition and the cost of restoration before bidding on it.
